Premier David Ben Gurion was the recipient here yesterday of a microfilm copy of a rare Greek book by the fifth-century philosopher, Proclus, presented to him by U.S. Ambassador Monnet B. Davis on behalf of Luther H. Evans, head of the Library of Congress in Washington.
The Israel Premier, during his recent visit to Washington, sought a copy of Proclus’ volume “On the Theology of Plato” and could not find it. Mr. Evans later found a 17th-century edition of the book in the Harvard University library and had it copied on film for Mr. Ben Gurion.
