The State Department today deplored the terrorist bombing, this morning of a building in Paris which housed offices dealing with Israel and a Jewish-owned bank.
Noting that this was the sixth incident in recent days, Department spokesmen Alan Romberg said that “We deplore this series of barbaric acts against innocent individuals which have already cost many lives. We are confident that the French government is taking all possible actions to apprehend those responsible and to prevent any further or future incidents.”
Asked about the bomb that went off in front of the Iraqi Embassy today in Paris, Romberg said he had not heard of this incident but the same statement would apply to that, too.
