American Ambassador Jefferson Caffery conferred today in Cairo with Premier Mohammed Naguib in a discussion which was believed to have involved Arab protests against Germany’s agreement to pay reparations to Israel.
The meeting today coincided with editorials in two Egyptian newspapers blaming the United States–not Germany–for the Bonn agreement to pay approximately $715,000,000 in goods to Israel.
From Cairo it was reported that the Egyptian Airlines today cancelled weekly flights to Bonn, probably in retaliation for the refusal of the Bonn Government to discard its agreement with the Jewish State.
