Mrs. Golda Meir, Israel’s Foreign Minister, met today with United States Ambassador Walworth Barbour at the latter’s request for a 50-minute meeting.
Topics covered were understood to have included various aspects of the Arab refugee problem against the background of both the recent debate in the United Nations General Assembly and the talks earlier this month between Mrs. Meir and President Kennedy, as well as the situation in Yemen.
The American envoy entertained Premier and Mrs. Ben-Gurion at a luncheon last week which was attended also by Theodore Kollek, director-general of the Premier’s office, and Shimshon, Arad, head of the Israeli Foreign Ministry’s American desk.
