American economic aid to Israel over the last four months has totalled $39,000,000, it was reported here today by official sources. The funds are drawn from some $147,000,000 in appropriations for assistance to nations in Asia, including Iran and the Arab states.
None of the Arab states obtained grants under the same program in the four month period because they did not have any proposals for projects meriting such assistance, it was stated. There are agreements between the U.S. and the Arab countries whereby Washington provides technical help for specific project.
