The Foreign Operations Administration has announced the authorization of $5,500,000 in bread grains for Israel. The bread grains will be shipped from the United States and its possessions.
Ocean freight charges which the Foreign Operations Administration reimbursed to Jewish organizations which dispatched overseas commodities received as donations from the American public and also surplus food commodities obtained from the Department of Agriculture were listed in an FOA release. The Joint Distribution Committee was reimbursed with $41,955 while the American ORT Federation received $136.
