U.S. High Commissioner John McCloy announced today that verdicts acquitting or imposing light sentences on former Nazi officials and other war-criminals will be reviewed by a special investigation commission which will make a study of the acquittal of the former Gestapo chief of Munich.

Documents presented during the denazification trial of Karl Feitenhansl, chairman of the neo-fascist group, “Vaterlaendische Union,” revealed today that the organization has prepared material to combat the present restitution and indemnification laws in Germany. It was also shown that Bavarian industrialists have been providing financial support for the defendant.

Dr. Wilhelm Hoegner, Social Democratic deputy, introduced a resolution calling for a parliamentary investigation of the alleged backing of the Feitenhansl group by Bavarian industrialists. He said that neo-fascist groups have been started with the assistance of “unknown financial groups.”
