Leaders of American Jewry will attend the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Alliance Israelite Universelle in Paris which will be marked by a four-day congress of representatives of major Jewish organizations from all parts of the world, it was announced here today by Marcel Franco, president of the American Friends of the Alliance.
The congress will open in Paris on June 21 under the honorary sponsorship of Michel Debre, Premier of France. The American Jewish leaders who will attend the celebration include Jacob Blaustein and Herbert B. Ehrmann, honorary president and president respectively of the American Jewish Committee; Dr. Nihum Coldmann, president of the World Jewish Congress; Philip M. Klutznick, leader of he B’nai B’rith; Moses A. Leavitt, executive vice-chairman of the Joint Distribution Committee; Miss Caroline K. Simon, Secretary of the State of New York, and a number of other prominent Jewish personalities.
