Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, vice-president of the Israel Bond Organization, announced today that community leaders in the United States and Canada would participate in a National Leaders Conference in Israel, which will be held in Jerusalem during the period from Tuesday, July 25th through Thursday, August 3rd. The conference will mark the tenth anniversary of the Israel bond campaign.
The Israel bond conference will meet in Israel in response to an invitation from Prime Minister Ben-Gurion and Finance Minister Levi Eshkol, who urged that the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the founding of the Israel Bond Organization take place in the soil of Israel. The conference would also give the bond leadership an opportunity to join the Israeli people in observing Israel’s Bar Mitzvah anniversary.
