Delegates to the annual encampment of Jewish War Veterans in session here today passed a resolution thanking Charles M. Schwab, Arturo Toscanini, James W. Gerard, General Charles R. Sherrill and Chancellor Dolfuss of Austria for their fight against Hitlerism.
The delegates also approved the committee’s decision to seek the endorsement of Samuel Untermyer as representative of all American veterans at the forthcoming conference in Geneva.
A resolution was approved asking General Sherrill to withdraw American participation from the Olympics in 1936 unless they are held outside of Germany.
Resolving to wage an unremitting and relentless war on German trade and commerce until the Hitler government is overthrown, the delegates also condemned American fascists.
Other resolutions passed were:
To cooperate in the formation of an allied veterans’ council to help needy or disabled veterans; to demand that congress plug tax holes; to abolish tax exemption securities; and to oppose cancellation of war debts.
