Commemorative assemblies on the first anniversary of the death of Dr. Chaim Weizmann will be held throughout the United States the week beginning tomorrow, it was announced here today by Mrs. Rose L. Halprin, acting chairman of the World Zionist Executive.
A special proclamation issued on this occasion by Mrs. Halprin on behalf of the Executive said: “Zionist groups, Jewish community councils, rabbis and educators are respectfully requested to hold memorial meetings and services at which excerpts should be read from the speeches and writings of this great visionary of the Restoration of Zion. These occasions should solemnly demonstrate American Jewry’s continued devotion and abiding commitment to the cause which Dr. Weizmann so magnificently symbolized in his person and his works.”
