The Labor Zionist Organization of America has decided to build a labor college in Jerusalem in honor of the organization’s golden jubilee next year, Dr. James G. Heller, president of the L. Z. O. A., announced here last night at a special conference of Labor Zionist leaders in preparation for the launching of the forthcoming Israel Histadrut Campaign in the U. S. Dr. Heller said the College would provide needed facilities for adult education in Jerusalem.
Isaac Hamlin, general secretary of the National Committee for Labor Israel, which conducts the Histadrut drive, asked for 50,000 volunteers for the 29th annual Histadrut campaign which will begin on October 1. The board of directors of the National Committee for Labor Israel met today to formulate plans for the campaign.
