U.S. lawmakers introduced a bill pressuring Syria to withdraw from Lebanon and end its pursuit of weapons of mass destruction. The Lebanon and Syria Liberation Act would sanction foreign individuals and governments that transfer technology or assistance to Syria for its weapons program, and assist pro-democracy advocates in Syria and Lebanon.
