Possibility of American aid reaching tens of thousands was further diminished today when the Post-Office Department announced that extension of the European war had cut off the U.S. mail service to Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland and the Scandinavian countries. Service will be resumed as quickly as possible, but there was scant chance of resumption with Norway, Sweden and Finland.
