U.S. Middle East envoy William Burns is due to hold talks with Lebanese officials in Beirut on Friday about the weekend’s flare-up of violence along the Israeli-Lebanese border, according to a Lebanese official. The official also said the E.U. Middle East envoy, Miguel Angel Moratinos, was also expected to arrive on Friday in an effort to reduce regional tensions.
