An American military commission which came to the landsberg camp for displaced Jews last night to investigate conditions there, said today that the charge that the 6,000 Jews in the camp were being neglected to a point where “disastrous epidemics may strike at any hour,” was justified.

The commission found that the camp residents were crowded into filthy wooden shacks and suffering from an acute shortage of clothing. The conditions at the Landsberg camp were brought to the attention of the military authorities by Dr. Leo Srole, who resigned yesterday from his post as UNRRA welfare director in protest against the treatment of the Jews in Landsberg by the U.S. military administration.
