The United States Technical Cooperation Administration mission in Israel and the Israel Government today concluded an agreement under which Israel will supply some 2, 289,000 pounds from its counterpart funds for 11 new development projects.
The projects include foresting certain hilly regions, carrying through irrigation projects in northern and southern areas of the country, reclamation of abandoned plantations and the construction of new railway spurs.
The counterpart funds are supplied by Israel to match American technical assistance grants. The exchange relationship between Israeli pounds and dollars for these projects is set in the TCA agreement.
