Expenditures of United Service for New Americans during 1951, when 17,000 Jewish refugees arrived in the United States, was $1,436,877, it was announced today by Walter H. Bieringer, president. The estimated budget requirements for the agency’s immigration and resettlement program in 1952 will total $799,200. A minimum Jewish immigration of 8,500 is expected this year, Mr. Bieringer reported.
