A United States Navy Constellation plane has arrived in Israel to participate in a world-wide communications research project with scientists of the Haifa Institute of Technology, it was announced today.
The object of the research is to determine how radio waves travel through the atmosphere over long distances. The Technion has a contract with the U.S. Navy receiving stations to measure signals received here from other parts of the world. The Constellation will test incoming signals from the air while they are being simultaneously received on the ground.
