The New York correspondent of the Frankfurter Zeitung writes in that newspaper that Catholics and Protestants are joined with the Jews in the anti-German trade boycott.
Catholics, especially in towns and areas where they are in the majority, are strong supporters of the movement, he says, citing Boston, Mass., where, out of the seven major department stores, only one, according to his report, is still importing goods from the Nazi Third Reich.
The correspondent declares that although the boycott drive is led by Jews, there are certain Jewish circles, such as the American Jewish Committee, which oppose the boycott and are fighting against it “even now.”
