U.S. Ratification of Genocide Pact Urged by Labor Leaders

William Green, president of the American Federation of Labor, and Philip Murray, president of the C.I.O., today called upon the United States to ratify the Genocide Convention which was drawn up by the United Nations and ratified by 36 countries. The call was made by the American labor leaders in messages to the Jewish Labor Committee on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, which will be observed at memorial meetings arranged by the J.L.C. throughout the country.
