U.S. Rep. Nita Lowey (D-N.Y.) is talking to supporters about the possibility of running for Senate in 2000. Lowey, one of 23 Jewish members of the House of Representatives, would seek the seat of retiring New York Democratic Sen. Daniel Moynihan.
