U.S. Reps. Jon Fox (R-Pa.) and Michael Forbes (R-N.Y.) are urging the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum to reconsider the appointment of John Roth as the director of the museum’s Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies. Roth, who has come under fire from the Zionist Organization of America, has apologized for a 1988 article in which he compared Israel to Nazi Germany.
