United States surplus food assistance to Israel through Hadassah has been resumed and the first shipment of dried milk and cheese is due shortly. Dr. Miriam Freund, president of Hadassah, told newsmen here today. The last shipment was received here in November.
Dr. Freund also reviewed Hadassah activities in this country and in the United States including the public relations activities of all Zionist groups in the U.S. in the last four months since the Sinai operation. She expressed the conviction that the Hadassah-supported medical center which should be completed here by 1960 will become the focus of Middle East medicine, contributing greatly to an Arab-Israel rapprochement.
