The Soviet Union and China today notified the United Nations secretariat that they had no objections to the calling of a special session of the General Assembly to discuss the Palestine question.

With French approval already given unofficially, it was expected that the long-awaited formal submission of the request for a special session would be made by Britain tomorrow.
