U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright pledged to increase U.S. assistance in the investigation into the bombings of the Israeli Embassy and the AMIA Jewish community center in Buenos Aires. Capping a five-day visit to several South American countries, Albright met with Argentine Jewish community leaders at the rebuilt AMIA building, where she paid homage to the victims of the 1994 bombing.
