U.S. Special Middle East Coordinator Dennis Ross is scheduled to brief President Clinton and Secretary of State Madeleine Albright on his recent meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority chairman Yasser Arafat. Clinton is expected to call Netanyahu and Arafat later this week before determining the next step in the peace process.
