The conclusion of an agreement between the Israel Government and Mack Trucks, Inc., by which the latter will construct in Haifa heavy duty truck parts to be assembled by Israel workmen was announced here today by Charles J. Moran, the company’s plant consultant.
The parts will be manufactured in a Haifa plant now under construction and assembled under the supervision of a Mack engineer. Under the arrangement, about six trucks a day are expected to be turned out when production gets under way later this year.
