The United Nations Trusteeship Council named ##ary 9 as the date when it will reconvene to approve a government charter for the from city of Jerusalem in a partitioned Palestine.
The Council adjourned today but two committees of experts will carry on the ## of implementing the decision of the General Assembly to set up Jerusalem under international status. The Council will consider their reports when it reconvenes.
In commenting on this phase of the work of the Trusteeship Council, Council independent Francis B. Sayre, of the United States, said: “The task of administering ##alem will be one of extraordinary difficulties and delicarcy. I have every ##dence that the Trusteeship Council will measure up to the task.”
