U.S. Unity Menaced by Groups Stirring Racial Antagonisms, Boston Parley Told

America’s national unity is being threatened by disruptive forces seeking to create racial and religious antagonisms, speakers at the third annual dinner, of the Massachusetts Committee of the National Conference of Christians and Jews declared last night, pleading for inter-faith cooperation based on traditional American standards of good will.

Governor Leverett Salton stall urged Americans not to allow “a foreign-born spirit of hatred to destroy our American unity.” Six hundred Catholics, Jews and Protestants attended the dinner, held at the Boston Chamber of Commerce under the chairmanship of Chief Justice John P. Higgins of Massachusetts Superior Court.
