Hailing the Jewish community in the United States as “the greatest productive force that the Jewish people possesses today,” Baruch Zuckerman, president of the Labor Zionist Organization of America, yesterday urged American Jewry to give maximum aid to Israel. He reported that the Israel Government not only encourages private capital, but is also ready to grant concessions to private investors.

Speaking at a press conference, Mr. Zuckerman, who just returned from Israel where he attended the sessions of the Jewish Agency executive, said that “the forthcoming Zionist Congress in December will highlight the working partnership between Israel and world Jewry and will be of future benefit to both.” He said that the leadership of Israel is “in the responsible and capable hands of the Mapai,” and urged American Jews to purchase from the Labor Zionists hekels, upon which is based the representation awarded the various parties and groups at the Zionist Congress.
