A joint statement pledging to resist Britain’s plan for a Palestine state “with every means at their command” was issued last night by representatives of Zionist organizations at a special conference. The national officers of the Zionist Organization of America, Mizrachi, Hadassah and Poale-Zion participated in the meeting.
The New York Post today editorially termed the British proposals “another victory for terrorism” which, it declared, “will be callous preparation for a period of murder and oppression, perhaps without parallel in recent memory.”
