The resignation of Dr. J. L. Magnes from his post as president of the Hebrew University is demanded in statements published here today by A. L. Gelman, president of Mizrachi David Wertheim, secretary of the Zionist Laborites and Louis Lipsky, asserting that the prestige of the position which Dr. Magnes holds as head of the Hebrew University adds importance to his political activities. The Hadassah was asked to issue a similar statement, but refused to do so.
