Ugo Carusi was sworn in today as Commissioner of Immigration and Naturalization by Associate Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson. He succeeds Earl G. Harrison who resigned in July to return to private law practice.
Carusi, executive assistant to five Attorney-Generals, was nominated for the immigration post last August but was not approved by the 78th Congress until mid-December.
