Total cash funds received by the United Jewish Appeal through its special five-year loan project launched last January have soared to $62,752,500 as the result of action taken by 18 Jewish communities during August in arranging leans and transmitting funds to UJA amounting to $4,645, 000, it was reported today by Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, executive vice-chairman of the UJA.
