The Paris press today reported that police at Strasbourg, on the Franco-German border, have discovered an underground network for smuggling visaless Jewish immigrants into France where they hope to embark on Palestine-bound vessels.
The police are said to have apprehended a group of some 30 Jews, from Germany and Central Europe, trying to cross the Rhine at Kehl. The Jews, who are believed to include some Exodus refugees, were in possession of forged identity documents. They will probably be returned to Germany.
