The unemployment of a great number of Jewish workers in the city of Lodz, the center of the textile industry in the Polish Republic, has created a situation which grows worse from day to day.

Difficulties have arisen the the last few days, owing to a disagreement between the leaders of the Kehillah and the leaders of the unemployed over the distribution of relief. The leaders of the unemployed refused to participate in the relief work of the Kehilah due to a disagreement over the method and extent of the relief. Further disturbances are feared.
