Unemployment is reported among Jewish workers in Moscow and Leningrad.
According to figures made public by the Russian Ort, seven thousand Jewish members of the unions in Moscow are out of work while in Leningrad the number is 3,500.
A survey of employment conditions in the Ukraine and White Russia is now being conducted by the Ort.
Alfred A. Knopf, well known publisher, has been decorated by the Polish Government. The Polish Minister at Washington presented him with the Chevaliers’s Cross, insignia of an officer of the order of Polonia Institute.
