The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) took the Initiative today to establish contact with Israel which was broken last year when Israeli delegates were refused admission to the Beirut sessions of the organization, despite the fact that invitations to attend the parloy had been extended to them.
The Israeli Minister to France, Maurice Fischer, today paid a call on Torres Bodet, director-general of UNESCO, at the latter’s invitation, to discuss the future relationship between Israel and UNESCO.
