A plan for leading experts in different scientific and technical fields to go to Israel for several months each year for a five year period as permanent visiting professors at the Israel Institute of Technology has been worked out by the Technion and the United Nations Scientific, Educational and Cultural Organization, it was announced here today by David Rose, president of the American Technion Society.
The visiting professors are expected to help relieve the acute need for highly qualified men in the top academic posts at the Institute and to provide training for junior staff members. The visiting professors will also serve as advisors to government departments and industrial enterprises, according to Mr. Rose.
