Seven new members will assume positions on the several boards of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations beginning January 1, it was announced yesterday.
The appointees are Dr. G. George Fox, of Chicago, representing the Hebrew Union College Alumnal Association on the executive board of the Union; Rabbi Max C. Currick, of Erie, Pa., representing the Alumnal group and Rabbi William B. Schwartz, of Lawrence, L. I., representing the Central conference of American Rabbis, on the Hebrew Union College board of governors; and Rabbi Louis Wolsey, of Philadelphia, representing the Conference, on the board of managers of the department of synagogue and school extension.
Dr. William H. Fineshriber, of Philadelphia, and Dr. Samuel H. Markowitz, of Fort Wayne, Ind., will represent the Conference on the commission of Jewish education, and Dr. Harry W. Ettelson will represent the Conference on the tract commission.
