A proposal to change the name of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations and to move its headquarters from Cincinnati will be discussed at a two-day meeting of the executive board of the Union which opens here to-morrow. The board is composed of 65 religious and lay spokesmen for 350 Reform Jewish congregations.
The meeting will also consider a report on the revision of the Union’s constitution. The budget for 1948-49 will be presented to the board with a report on how last year’s funds were spent. A program of new projects will also be reviewed.
