Dr. Giorgio Zevi has been elected president of the Union of Italian Jewish Communities at a meeting of the council of the Union. He succeeds Dr. Renzo Bonfiglioli, who resigned more than three months ago over a dispute with the majority of the council. Dr. Zevi is well known in the community for his work in the underground during the war is aiding Italian and foreign Jews stranded in Italy.
