The Union of Roumanian Jews, headed by ex-Deputy Filderman, has concluded an election pact with the Jorga Government, which has agreed to carry out the programme presented by the Union embodying its demands for protecting the rights of the Jewish population of Roumania. The Union of Roumanian Jews will under the pact be ensured eight seats in the new Parliament, five in the Chamber and three in the Senate.
The Liberal Party led by M. Duca, who is very friendly to the Union of Roumanian Jews, and concluded the election pact with it at the time of the Liberal Government, similarly accepting the programme of the Union, has concluded an Election pact with the Jorga Government, under which the Liberals are ensured 80 seats in the new Parliament.
