On March 14, an exhibit of original Purum masks will open at the Israeli Arts and Crafts Center at America-Israel Culture House. In keeping with one of the major aims of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation – a cultural exchange between the United States and Israel – this exhibit will consist of masks made by American children and masks done by children at the Youth Wing of the Israel Museum, Jerusalem. The Youth Wing was established to provide for the special needs of children in the Museum. Approximately 1000 children participate every week in various workshops and this is the fourth year in which Arab children from the Old City have done so.
