The necessity of a united front of all races and religions in this time of general race hatred was stressed by G.A. Tedesco, presiding at the second World Congress of the World Rally against Racism and Anti-Semitism. The 400 delegates representing the three major religions also heard greetings from a delegation of the international association of writers, including Langston Hughes of the united states.
