The full cooperation of United Hias Service in implementing the program adopted at a three-day national conference in Miami on resettlement of Cuban refugees was pledged today by James P. Rice, Hias executive director, following his return from the conference.
The parley in Miami, which was called to discuss plans for emergency aid to Cuban refugees of all faiths, was attended by Abraham Ribicoff,Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare.Representing other Jewish organizations, in addition to the United Hias, were Philip Soskis,executive director of the New York Association for New Americans; and Sam J. Heiman, president, and Arthur Rosichan, executive director of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation.
