More than 10, 000 Jews gathered in Luna Park Stadium last night to formally launch the 1958 United Israel Campaign in Argentina. The chief speakers were Israel’s Minister for Interior, Israel Bar Yehuda, who came here to attend the inauguration of President Frondizi, and Dr. Arieh L. Kubovy, Israel’s Ambassador.
Mr. Bar Yehuda told the assemblage that Israel was recognized today by the free nations of the world and only the Arab states pretended that Israel did not exist. He noted that Israel permitted no foreign bases on its soil, but that the Arab states could not say the same.
