United Nations Asked to Urge Member States to Grant Citizenship to Stateless Persons

A memorandum asking the United Nations to reiterate its appeal to member states to grant citizenship to stateless persons now residing within their borders was submitted here yesterday by the World Jewish Congress to U.N. Secretary General Trygve Lie. Mr. Lie was asked by the W.J.C. to circulate the communication among the governments attending the session of the U.N. Economic and Social Council currently taking place in Santiago, Chile.
