A resolution asking the United Nations to issue internationally recognized travel papers, similar to the Nansen passports, to Jewish refugees travelling without visas, was adopted here last night at the closing session of the national conference of the Emergency Committee to Save the Jewish People of Europe.
Other resolutions urged the establishment of additional “free parts” in the United States, that Britain immediately establish Refugee Shelters in Palestine, that the rescue of Jews from Hungary be made “a major and immediate” undertaking, and that Palestine be opened for the Balkan Jews since it is the nearest and most practical haven.
